IS A POWERFUL, PIONEERING THEATRE PROJECT OF YOUTH REACHING OUT TO YOUTH TO COMBAT RACISM AND TO PROMOTE TOLERANCE YAYA productions... feature a large group of students ages 9 to 18, who have gone through a two-year training programme in theatre, heritage, history, Yiddish and leadership.

STANDS UP FOR A MORE OPEN AND TOLERANT WORLD The fight against intolerance is first of all a struggle to change attitudes. Racism, anti-Semitism and inter-ethnic hate are on the rise again. It affects our schools, our society and our world.

EMPOWERS YOUTH Teenagers are shown that they can make a difference. YAYA performers and audiences are encouraged to speak out publicly and take personal responsibility for promoting tolerance.

CREATES COMMUNITY AMBASSADORS The YAYA performers have become effective community ambassadors.

STRENGTHENS THE SENSE OF IDENTITY Participants develop a strong sense of pride in their own cultural identity.

CAPTURES THE MIND YAYA assists young people, actors and audiences alike, to think more critically and clarify values. It helps them make some sense of the world.
